Nashville, TN- Lyric Street Recording artist and American Idol Season 6 finalist Phil Stacey will make his first televised appearance on the Grand Ole Opry this Saturday night, July 12th. Phil will perform songs from his recently released self-titled CD, including the single "If You Didn't Love Me," co-written by Rascal Flatts front man Gary LeVox. The Grand Ole Opry airs live at 8pm EDT on GAC.
Phil's very first Opry experience was on March 29th, 2008. Of his special night, Phil commented, "I'm blown away, I'm absolutely on cloud nine, this is one of the biggest experiences of my life."
Phil Stacey made a name for himself when he performed for millions of viewers each week during his competition on the sixth season of American Idol. His renditions of the country hits "Where The Blacktop Ends," and "I Need You" were among his most praised performances of the season. In 2003, Phil enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as a Musician Third Class at Navy Band Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida. He just completed his 4 year commitment to the U.S. Navy and is still in the Navy Reserves. His self-titled debut CD released April 2008 and includes the single "If You Didn't Love Me."
